Important Instructions for Candidates of UGC-NET DEC 2015

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct UGC-NET DEC 2015 Exam on 27.12.2015 for UGC. Admit Card for CBSE-NET DEC 2015 Examination has been uploaded by NET Coordinating Institutions. CBSE has released Directions/Instructions for the candidates who are participating in UGC-NET Exam Dec 2015. So, candidates are advised to read these instructions carefully and follow them in the exam. Any violation of the instructions/ directions issued by CBSE could disqualify them from UGC-NET DEC 2015 Exam. So, read the instructions relating to NET Exam Dec 2015 scheduled to be held on 27 December 2015.

Important Instructions: UGC NET DEC 2015


  • The Candidate should note that their candidature is strictly provisional. The mere fact that Admission Card has been issued and the candidate is allowed to appear in the test shall not imply that the Board has finally accepted his/her candidature.
  • CBSE may change the city of examination or date of examination without assigning any reason.
  • It may be noted that the Admission Card will be uploaded on the website www.cbsenet.nic.in in the second week of December, 2015. The candidates are requested to ascertain their venue of the test in the mentioned in the Admission Card and appear in the examination only at the designated examination center. No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination center other than that allotted to him/her in the admission card.
  • The candidates are required to bring a photo identity card also along with their printout of online Admission Card on the day of examination. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination whose admission card is not issued by the Board.
  • To ensure fair conduct of examination frisking of the candidates will be done properly at main entry gate of the exam center. The candidates should report at the examination center 2 hrs 30 minutes prior to commencement of examination and cooperate with the invigilators in frisking. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination center/hall after commencement of examination. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before 10:45 AM in the 1st session, 12:30 PM in the 2nd session and 4:30 p.m. in the 3rd session.
  • All the examination hall/room will have a wall clock so the candidates are not allowed to wear any type of watch in the examination hall/room.
  • xvi) The CBSE will provide a ball point pen to the all the candidates in the examination hall/room so the candidates are not allowed to carry any type of pen/pencil in the examination hall/room.
  • The use of calculators of Log Tables is not permitted. Mobile phones, pagers, electronic devices, bits of paper, books/note books etc. are not allowed in the Examination Hall/Room. The candidate(s) found in possession of any of these items in the examination hall/room will be treated as unfairmeans and his/her result will not be declared.
  • The candidates have to follow the instructions given by the invigilators in the examination hall/room and should not argue with the invigilators or other staff involved in the examination duty at the examination center. The candidates, who will not follow the instructions, will be treated as unfairmeans and his/her result will not be declared.
  • In the examination hall/room, the candidates will neither talk to each other nor discuss any matter during the examination. The candidates should not disturb the candidates in the examination room and maintain complete silence during the examination. The candidate violating these instructions will be treated as unfairmeans and his/her result will not be declared.
  • A candidate who does not appear in paper-I, will not be permitted to appear in paper-II and paper-III.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to write any question from the Test Booklet on the Admission Card or on any other paper.
  • There are no negative marks of incorrect answers.
  • The candidate shall have to return the original OMR Sheet of Paper I & II and Paper-III to the Invigilator before leaving the examination hall/room. However, candidates are allowed to carry the Test Booklets of Paper-I, II and III along with duplicate copy (carbon less copy) of OMR Sheet on conclusion of examination.
  • No TA will be paid to the candidates, on account of appearing at the examination etc 


Directions for the Candidates for the Exam of UGC-NET DEC 2015 



  1. The candidates will be provided black ball point pen in the Examination Hall, so they should not bring pen/ball pen/pencil in the examination hall. Candidates should use only this pen to write particulars on the cover page of Test Booklet, Answer Sheet and for darkening the circles of response. .
  2. The candidates are advised not to bring any items mentioned at serial number 12(a) including bags, metallic items etc. because there may not be any arragement of safe custody for keeping these items at the examination centres. In case of any loss, the candidates will themselves be responsible.
  3. All the examination hall/room will have a wall clock so the candidates are not allowed to wear/carry any type of watch in the examination hall/room.
  4. Candidates are requested to read carefully the detailed Notification for NET to be held on 27th DECEMBER, 2015 available on website: www.cbsenet.nic.in. No TA will be paid for appearing in the Test.
  5. Venue of Test : Candidates are requested to visit the Venue of Test, a day before the examination so as to reach in time on the day of examination. The request for change of City/Centre of examination/Subject will not be entertained. The candidates will be permitted to appear at allotted venue of test only. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination at any other centre of examination. The candidate should sit on the seat allotted to him/her.
  6. Candidates shall be present at the examination Centre by 9 AM (IST) for Paper I and by 1:30 PM (IST) for Paper III i.e. at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. Since the time gap between Paper – I and Paper – II is only 30 minutes therefore no candidate is allowed to leave the examination hall/centre after Paper – I.
  7. No Candidate in any case will be allowed to enter at the Examination Centre after the commencement of the examination in each paper.
  8. The candidate has to appear in the Paper – II & Paper – III in the subject mentioned in the admission card. The change of subject is not allowed.
  9. Entry to the Examination Hall will not be allowed without this admission card. The Candidate should also bring along with valid photo ID proof.
  10. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall/ room before 12:30 P.M. in the 1st session and 4:30 P.M. in the 2nd session.
  11. Candidates are allowed to carry the Test Booklets of PaperI, II and III along with duplicate copy (carbonless copy) of OMR Sheet on conclusion of examination.
  12. The following cases will be treated under unfairmeans and the results of such candidate(s) will not be declared : a. The candidate(s) found with any electronic devices/Cellular phone/Mobile/Pager/Calculator/Log Tables/copying material/books/notebooks/bits of paper etc. b. The candidate(s) found talking to each other or discussing any matter during the examination. The candidate(s) disturbing other candidates in the examination room/hall and not maintaining complete silence. c. Candidate(s) found removing any page(s) from the Test booklet and if any page(s) is/are found missing from his/her Test Booklet. d. The candidate(s) not following the instructions given by the invigilators in the examination hall/room and found arguing with the invigilators/other staff involved in the examination duty at examination centre. e. The candidate(s) found sitting on the seat other than that allotted to him, appeared other centres or appeared in other subject than that mentioned in the admit card.
  13. The Physically Challenged(PwD) candidates must carry a copy of the disability certificate in the prescribed format of the Govt. of India otherwise the relaxations mentioned at serial no. 9 page 8 of the information bulletin of NET DECEMBER 2015 will not be provided to him/her during the examination
  14. It may be noted that the admission card will not be sent to the candidates by post. Candidates should note that their candidature is strictly provisional. The mere fact that admission card has been issued after online submission of application form and the candidate is allowed to appear in the test shall not imply that the CBSE/UGC has finally accepted his/ her candidature.
  15. The candidates have to strictly follow the instructions regarding use of Test Booklets, OMR Sheet as mentioned on page 17 – 18 of the information bulletin of NET DECEMBER 2015 available on the website cbsenet.nic.in.
